Kathleen M. Salmas, Esq.

Upon being accepted into the Walter Reed Army Institute of Nursing, Ms. Salmas enlisted in the U.S. Army. Thereafter, she earned a BS in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore and was commissioned a First Lieutenant in the Army Nurse Corps. While serving as an Army nurse, she attained the rank of Major and also earned an MS in Business Administration from the University of Northern Colorado.

After leaving the Army, Ms. Salmas took an interest in the law and, after earning a J.D. degree from Western State University College of Law and passing the California bar examination, joined Northrop Grumman Corporation as a staff attorney. During her 27 year career with the corporation, Ms. Salmas rose to Assistant Corporate Secretary of Northrop Grumman Corporation and Corporate Secretary of the company's subsidiaries. During this time she specialized in corporate governance matters and SEC compliance. When Northrop Grumman moved its corporate offices from Los Angeles to Falls Church, Virginia, Ms. Salmas chose to retire from the company and join The Food Lawyers® where she oversees the firm's corporate law and regulatory compliance practice.
